Hey there,
The boat life has resumed once again.
The past month turned out to be more stressful than I anticipated, for various reasons. I spent the entirety of May in Switzerland, where I had to move out of and renovate our apartment. While there were a few sunny moments upon my arrival and departure, the three weeks in between were shrouded in dense fog and incessant rain. It felt as though I hadn’t glimpsed sunlight in ages, which put me in a somewhat melancholic winter mood. Adding to the challenge, things didn’t go as planned in Tanzania, resulting in a slew of complications that I’m currently grappling with.
You can’t imagine the immense relief I felt when all the packing was finally done, the house was empty, and Jango and I set off for Italy with our backpacks. I wasted no time leaving the marina and have since been anchoring in the bays around Elba. I’ve been working on a few minor boat projects and attempting to reestablish a productive office routine. Unfortunately, I fell behind on some office tasks in the past few weeks, but now I’m determined to catch up.
It appears that I’ll be spending the majority of the summer in the enchanting vicinity of Elba. If you’re seeking a break and craving some sunshine, why not join me in Italy? We can embark on sailing adventures together and bask in the joys of the sea.
I am posting a couple of photos of the last weeks.
